Credit Agricole CFO Says Italy is Strategic Market

Crédit Agricole Deputy General Manager and CFO Clotilde L'Angevin Original told Bloomberg TV that Italy is a strategic market for the bank, representing 20% of its net income. Asked about a possible merger between Banco BPM, which counts Credit Agricole as its largest investor, and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena she said that Credit Agricole is “key to the setup, thanks to our 29.3% position.” “Nothing can be done without us and nothing can be done against us,” she added.
